The Purpose on the NETWORK Culture Prize
The patronage of gay culture is an aim for most NETWORK members. For that purpose in 2001 the Network Culture Fonds was inited. In 2004 the NETWORK Culture Prize was first time awarded to Andreas Stadler, actor, theater author, director and producer.
The NETWORK Culture Prize is a challenge for outstanding work in going public with gay cultural concerns, directly in interaction with the Swiss gay community or in honor of the artistic presentation. The NETWORK Culture Prize is awarded every two years in an other field of arts. This prize presents NETWORK absolutely, its members are interested in culture generally and are active participants of actual culture events of all kinds.
NETWORK is an association of executives and leaders the learned private culture sponsoring is a need in times of lowering official engagements, especially a need for cultural work with gay intention and expression.
Culture Prizes are leading on the tiny ridge between patronage without any goals for the donator and the impact searching sponsoring. Thanks to some members of Network, which are not part of the jury, could the Culture Funds be invented. Single members with their own engagements, abilities and talents are part of what remarks for our association a wonderful together.
