Information and research
Network organises and supports public events and conferences to further knowledge of LGBT issues, and supports selected LGBT research projects.
Examples include the website www.schwulengeschichte.ch, which serves as an archive for the Swiss gay movement, with texts, images, audio and video documentation.
Since 2014 Network has been involved in a new research project and, together with z&h, has been patron of the IQS Institute of Queer Studies. IQS aims to foster and publicise studies and findings on LGBT issues. It also supports the exchange and interdisciplinary networking of academics working in these areas. Regular talks provide information on LGBT studies which show that companies are more successful and more productive if they offer staff a diverse and inclusive environment. Enabling gay and lesbian employees to come out at work without fear of discrimination is therefore a win-win situation. Several experienced members of Network are available as speakers to give talks on “out@work”. Please contact the Network office if you are interested in a workshop or have any other questions about LGBT issues. We can help you find a suitable speaker.
