“In interviews, I ask candidates straight out whether they have a problem with gay people. That's always my last question if everything else fits. So far, the answer has always been: ‘no, it's not a problem for me’. And that's that. It’s important to me to be honest from the start. My partner, Michael Müller, also works for the company. Sooner or later people find out about our relationship: we don’t hide it. That's not a problem with my staff. Or our customers. We have a good relationship with many of them, so sometimes they ask about my private life. Then I always tell them quite openly that I’m with another man. I've never experienced a negative reaction. I feel perfectly happy in my working environment.”
