Series «naturally out»

Juan Fernando Caicedo Restrepo

“I trained with a heterosexual swimming club in my home town of Medellin in Colombia for nearly half of my life. I felt like I was living a secret life because it was a very conservative and Catholic environment and people were very prudish. Naturally, there were big changes in my life when I came to Geneva in 2000: first of all, I had to learn a new language – French – and then I joined H2O Geneva, which is an LGBT swimming club.

It's really great to feel “normal” with people at the club and to be “naturally out” in all other areas of life as well: at work, in international organisations and in my private life, with both heterosexual and homosexual people.”?
