Data protection declaration

network attaches great importance to protecting your data. For this reason, we would also like to inform users of our website about the type of data we store and how it is used.

This privacy policy applies solely to the www.network.ch website. Servers/websites to which external links lead may be subject to a different Privacy Policy.

Collection, recording and use of data

Anyone who requests information about network’s activities, subscribes to one of its newsletters, fills in a form, takes part in a competition or survey or orders material, communicates a certain amount of personal data. This data is stored electronically and used solely by network. The data collected is compared with the network address file. Under no circumstances will this information be sold or rented in any way to third parties in accordance with Article 13 of the Federal Constitution of the Swiss Confederation and data protection laws. All network service providers are subject to the same data protection guidelines.

Recording

Each time a user accesses a page on the www.network.ch site and each time a file is consulted, data relating to these activities is recorded in a log file. Depending on the access protocol used, the log record includes data which may contain :

  • the IP address of the requesting computer,
  • the name of the file requested,
  • the date and time of the request,
  • the access methods/functions required by the requesting computer,
  • Internet server access status (file transferred, file not found, command not executed, etc.),
  • the URL from which the file was requested/the desired function was ordered,
  • the operating system and type of browser or browser settings.

We are unable to link the IP address to any personal data that may be available. The recorded files are used exclusively for the purposes of identifying and tracking unauthorised access requests/accesses to the Internet server and for statistical estimates such as the number of visitors or the popularity of a site. These operations are only carried out by employees authorised to do so.

Use of cookies

We use “cookies” when you visit our sites. These are small text files that are saved on your computer. In order to offer you the best possible service, we use both “permanent cookies” and “temporary cookies”.

The files stored in permanent cookies are intended to make your use of our websites as user-friendly as possible, including during future visits, and are used by us solely for this purpose.

Data transfer security

The personal data you make available to us via the forms you send us is transmitted securely in encrypted form. The secure process used (SSL protocol, Secure Sockets Layer) is state-of-the-art.

All network employees who have access to your data are obliged to respect data protection. Access to the system uses an authorisation procedure. SSL encryption (identifiable by the abbreviation https:// in the browser address bar) is a protocol for encrypting data during transfer from the Internet server to the browser. This transfer offers a particularly high level of security. Your personal data is encrypted by the SSL protocol during transfer between your computer and our SSL server.

Responsibility for links

network hereby expressly declares that at the time the links were created, no illegal content was discernible on the linked pages. network has no influence whatsoever on the current or future design, content or authorship of the linked pages. It therefore expressly distances itself from all content of all linked sites that has been changed since the link was created. This applies to all links and references set up as part of our own Internet offering. In the event of illegal, incorrect or incomplete content, and in particular in the event of damage arising from the use or non-use of information provided on linked sites, only the owner of the site to which the link refers may be held liable, and not the person who merely refers to the said site.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”), to help us tailor our website offerings to your needs. network only receives non-personal data.

Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. The anonymisation of the IP address has been activated on this website, so that the user’s IP address is shortened beforehand by Google within the Member States of the European Union or in other signatory states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area.
