A city of culture and financial centre right next to the French border, Geneva offers our regional group a wide range of activities and challenges. Members enjoy a particularly varied programme. Past highlights include tours of the Bodmer Foundation, Red Cross, World Trade Organization (WTO) and air traffic control company Skyguide.

We promote diversity in the workplace and raise public awareness of sexual diversity through events and alliances. Cultural events supported by network Geneva include the LGBTI film festival Everybody’s Perfect.

We also have close links with a range of important partners in the region, including public authorities, the media and various professional associations such as FER (Fédération des Entreprises Romandes – federation of French-speaking businesses) and LWork.

In 2013, we worked together with the City of Geneva to install a plaque honouring Bartholomé Tecia in the Place de Bel-Air in the city centre. Tecia was sentenced to death in 1566 at the age of 15 because he was homosexual. The plaque reminds passers-by that sexual orientation and gender identity are fundamental human rights and that sexual minorities are still persecuted in many parts of the world today.

To mark network’s AGM in 2014, the Jet d’Eau fountain, Geneva’s central landmark, was lit up in pink.
