Swiss Role Model Awards 2025

The nomination campaign for the 1st edition of the Swiss Role Model Awards is open!

Do you know someone whose commitment inspires and helps create a more inclusive and respectful professional environment? Now is the time to put them in the spotlight!

The Swiss Role Models are LGBTIQ+ individuals or allies whose professional career in Switzerland, values, and commitments are considered a role model for promoting LGBTIQ+ inclusion at work. Whether through their actions or their visibility, they actively contribute to better inclusion of LGBTIQ+ people in their organisation.

The Swiss Role Models 2025 will receive their awards at the very first Swiss Role Model Awards ceremony, which will be celebrated together with the Prix network on 14 November at the Cinématte in Bern. The award is presented by the association network (network.ch).

From 1 September to 5 October 2025

Tell us why your nominee deserves to be recognised as a Role Model – your testimonial counts and can make the difference! People who submit a winning nomination will be invited to the award ceremony.
You may nominate yourself or another person.

Evaluation Criteria for Applications

The concrete actions taken to promote the inclusion of LGBTIQ+ people in the professional environment, the degree of personal contribution, the actual impact, and the specific constraints of the nominee’s sector of activity.
The actual visibility of the nominee within their organisation (for LGBTIQ+ individuals).
The expected impact on LGBTIQ+ inclusion in the professional environment in the event of an award being granted.
The nominee’s motivation to promote LGBTIQ+ inclusion at work (exchange of best practices, public speaking, initiatives, etc.).
The quality of the dossiers received (from proposers and nominees). A good dossier includes concrete facts, the perceived impact, and possibly precise examples.

Regulations

All form fields must be completed fully, accurately, and truthfully.
All nominations must be submitted exclusively via the online form.
Submitting a nomination does not guarantee its eligibility before the jury nor the attribution of a prize at the Swiss Role Model Awards 2025.
Each application must be sufficiently detailed to allow the jury to precisely assess the impact of the nominee.
A person may submit several nominations. However, each nominee will only participate once in the process, regardless of the number of proposals received.
Three categories are open for the 2025 edition:
1. LGBTIQ+ and Allies in Leadership Roles – members of a leadership body such as an Executive Committee or Management Board, excluding Boards of Directors, steering committees or operational committees.
2. Role Model Allies (non-leaders).
3. Role Model LGBTIQ+ Employees (non-leaders).
The deadline for nominations is set at midnight on 5 October.
The jury’s decision is final and cannot be appealed.
Eligibility criteria:
1. Active involvement in promoting the inclusion of LGBTIQ+ people in their organisation in Switzerland (private company or public administration).
2. Be at least 18 years old.
3. Hold regular professional activity in a structured environment employing several people in Switzerland (e.g., regular part-time work accepted).
Not eligible: members of the board and employees of network, jury members; journalists, researchers or authors in the context of publications on LGBTIQ+ topics; association activists; elected officials; as well as personalities from the world of entertainment or sports.
The jury is composed of volunteer experts from network and external personalities.
